WHY SHOULD I TAKE THE KETTLEBELL SWING CHALLENGE?
The holiday season is a time when many people “give up” and promise themselves they’ll get back on track in the new year. Life is busy, daylight is limited, and there’s a never-ending to-do list with a looming deadline. There are sweets and treats everywhere so it feels like “what’s the point?!” to even workout.
But what if instead of throwing caution to the wind and embracing the unhealthy combination of slothfulness and over-indulgence, we instead commit to one small healthy action each day? Doing 100 kettlebell swings can unleash the powerful, confident person within and give you a burst of energy to tackle the next task. If you have one kettlebell and ten minutes, you can do this!
The Kettlebell Swing Challenge kept more than 100 people moving last December and it can work for you too. Kettlebell swings are ballistic, strength-building movements. They’re a low impact cardiovascular exercise, meaning you’re not abusing your body by jumping around or throwing your body onto the floor. That’s definitely not my jam these days!
Train your cardiovascular system, build strength in your legs and butt and feel athletic and strong. You can do all of this with a supportive community holding you accountable and motivating you to stick with your commitment to yourself. You may even win some cash in the process!
Let’s spend the month of December staying healthy instead of giving up. You never know how a “movement snack” will change your mood, clear your head, and maybe even help you make more health-conscious decisions instead of going back to the fridge for another snack.

HOW IT WORKS
From December 1-31, you’ll do 100 kettlebell swings per day, five days per week. In total, you’ll do 2,200 kettlebell swings.
You’ll receive online instruction from Russian Kettlebell Certified coach Rachel Eslick to understand exactly how to perform a swing properly, what muscles should be firing, where you should feel it, and much more.
Once you enroll, you’ll be directed to a portal with instructional videos, course materials, and downloads to track your progress.
At different points of the challenge, there are opportunities to earn cash prizes for those who are consistently completing daily swings. How cool is that?!
WHAT YOU NEED
At least one kettlebell, a few square feet of space, and about ten minutes per day. Most people are able to use 25 pounds or even heavier (in some cases MUCH heavier) for kettlebell swings. You’re using the strongest, largest muscles of the body, so don’t underestimate your abilities.

I'm a mom, wife, and former athlete who coaches people to get stronger than they've ever been.
I'm a certified personal trainer (NASM), nutrition coach (PN1), and kettlebell (RKC) specialist. My passion is empowering clients to find their inner athlete and get strong, lean and in the best shape of their lives. I've led small group workouts as well as conducted private sessions for hundreds of clients since 2015, both online and in real life.
